What is the processing technology of wool spinning

By admin / Date Aug 16,2022
People have long used wool for spinning and knitting sweaters to keep out the cold. Woolen fabrics 3,000 years ago were unearthed in Xinjiang, China. In the Middle Ages in Europe, carded wool spinning was prevalent in Venice, Florence and other places in Italy, and then gradually spread to other countries. Worsted wool spinning began to develop around 1850, and the French comber (straight comber) and the British comber (circular comber) came out one after another, forming two types of combing processes: the French comber is suitable for Fine wool; British for thick and long wool. The needle-carding machine was first used in France. Semi-worsted wool is gradually formed later.

Name: Tussah Spun Silk Yarn 58/2TEX
Specification: 58/2 Tex
Introduction: It is made by 100% delicate Silk and through folding & twisting technique to process into high quality Carpet Yarn. The yarn is well used for a series of high-end handmade Carpet, Tapestry, Craft carpet Ect.

Due to different sheep breeds and feeding conditions, the quality of wool varies greatly. Even on the same wool cover, the quality of wool yarn in different parts is also different. In order to rationally use raw materials, high quality and optimal use, wool must be selected. The raw wool needs to be inspected before selecting the wool. If there are germs, it must be sterilized first. Raw wool also contains grease, sand, weeds which must be removed through scouring and carbonization processes. After washing, cashmere, camel hair, yak hair, etc., must remove coarse hair, dander and other impurities (see cashmere carding). These processes are collectively referred to as preliminary wool processing. Some worsted wool spinning mills do not have a sliver-making process, and use combed tops as raw materials.

The production process includes pre-spinning and post-spinning; For the second combing after dyeing, the re-combing process is similar to the sliver-making process. In addition, there is also a semi-worsted spinning process system between combing and carding. Hulan carded wool spinning is to open and comb the net wool, divide it into narrow strips and twist them, and then spin them directly. woolen technology. Including mixing and oiling, carding, slitting and twisting into roving, and then drafting and twisting into oil yarn. The spun yarn has good fluffiness, soft hand feeling and low count, and is used for weaving woolen wool. In addition to various types of clean wool, the raw materials used in carded wool spinning also include combed noil, underfoot, regenerated wool and other recycled wool and chemical fibers, and sometimes dyed fibers are mixed. Therefore, it needs to be mixed according to the proportion of mixed wool designed by the product, which is called mixed wool. The old method usually adopts the method of layered laying, straight cutting and holding from top to bottom, and the raw materials are fed and mixed with the wool machine.

After the 1960s, the method of weighing and feeding the wool was mostly adopted, and the wool was automatically circulated and sent to the wool warehouse through the underground pipeline through the wool machine and the S-head wool spreader. In order to reduce the damage of the fibers when combing, the emulsified oil must be added by spraying when the hair is brushed. When processing chemical fibers, antistatic agents are also added. The oil requires easy washing, no spontaneous combustion, no change in raw materials, no corrosion and rust of metal and other parts, no oxidation, no odor, and good lubrication. Generally, a mixed oil of mineral oil and vegetable oil or an emulsion of synthetic oil is used. The oil content of the raw material after refueling is controlled between 1.5 and 2%, and the moisture regain is about 20%. The raw materials are stored for 24 hours after adding oil, so that the oil and water can penetrate evenly.
